Gant by Michael Bastian Up Close
As the GANT by Michael Bastian saga continues, we only get more and more excited about its release for the Fall/Winter 2010 season. Bastian’s rugged yet preppy aesthetic was the perfect choice for GANT when they decided to start a more “high-end” line. On the other side of the ball, we also think it’s a great move by Bastian to extend his reach because only so many people can afford his $2,000 sport coats and $400 shirts.
What we have for you today is the first close up look at the GANT by Michael Bastian line. If you remember correctly, we did a nice little interview a little while ago with the designer himself at the collection’s launch during New York Fashion Week. Our favorite pieces have to be the beige puffer jacket, tweed trousers, and that awesome green lacrosse sweater. While we still have plenty of time before we’ll actually be able to get our hands on the collection, we’re excited for its release and even more excited to see what Mr. Bastian has in store for GANT in the future.
But for now, we must enjoy the F/W ’10 collection–and that we will. Special thanks to GANT for all of the wonderful photos. Check out our interview with Bastian about the collection here.
