It’s amazing how good you can look when you combine simple colors and fabrics with proper proportions. While we love intricate pairings of patterns, there is something about a super-clean look that just screams summer. The best part about simplicity is that it works for everyone. So if you’re not quite sure you’ve got panache, you can still pull from this outfit in a way that will work for you.

White and blue are just about the two easiest colors for a guy to pull off, especially when the shade of blue is navy. They work great together and are appropriate in nearly any setting at any time of the year. We love a trim pair of navy linen-cotton trousers in the summer because they really clean up your look without causing you to overheat. With the bottom of your outfit anchoring your look, continue to keep it simple with a slim white dress shirt and you’ll be well on your way to looking damn sharp.

What makes this look perfect for those with panache has to be the shoes and hat. By going with a pair of monk strap shoes instead of traditional lace-ups, you’re switching things up enough to really show off your sartorial prowess. This will be a great detail, but it’s the fedora that really takes things over the edge. We’ve been seeing a lot of seriously stylish men in hats this summer and we have really been drawn to how a simple straw fedora can really give your look that extra punch–just make sure to be confident when wearing it.
