Piece by Piece: Sunday Style

When you spend the whole week dressing up, it’s nice to sit back and relax–take it easy, you know. But that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t look good doing it. Here’s how.

J. Crew Cashmere Hoodie, $250

A.P.C New Standard Jeans, $165

Nike Tennis Classic, $112

Now, Sunday style doesn’t mean that you go for the sweatsuit–we like to think you hold yourself to higher standard than that. It’s about taking an easier and more casual approach, which in our opinion, is more about style and fabric than fit. Usually when guys go casual they think that means baggy jeans and a big t-shirt, but we think you can do better. So, for all the guys out there who are set on bumming around in a hoodie and jeans, we’ve got your back–kinda.

This look is build around those two casual essentials, but we like to do it a little differently than most. We’re all about the hoodie when done properly, so ditch your baggy Champion one and throw some cash down for J. Crew’s trim cashmere hoodie–it’ll be the most comfortable piece in your wardrobe. This look also requires something a little more than those “relaxed” jeans you might have stored for a day off. What we’re going for on this one is a pair of beat up slim jeans. If you put in enough work to wear in some New Standards, they’ll be super comfortable and look like a million bucks.

And what would a casual look be without a pair of sneakers? So instead of those running shoes you might have been thinking of, reach for a pair of simple white tennis shoes like these classics by Nike. While this look may be a solid one by itself, we think we can do better. Slip on a slim grey sport coat and you’ve got yourself a unique look that will look good and be comfortable as hell.
