Piece of the Week: Ralph Lauren Chambray Sport Coat

When we were checking out Ralph Lauren’s site the other day, we stumbled upon this really unique piece that immediately caught our eye. It’s not every day you find something that you haven’t really seen before yet still seems so natural and that’s how we feel about Ralph Lauren’s Chambray Sport Coat. It’s a great piece to pick up for summer because of it’s light weight, but what really gets us is the color. It’s got that unique hue that only comes with chambray, so it will look very different from all of your other jackets. It’s a piece that you have to own because you could end up looking a little ridiculous if you’re not confident in your dress, but you will reap the rewards if you are brave enough to pull it off.

When you take a closer look at the piece, there are a few things that really contribute to its appeal that you might not notice at first glance. First, it has a slightly slimmer lapel than you might expect from a Polo jacket, which really adds a modern spin to it. Second, the white buttons and button-holes really pop off of the chambray fabric. We love that little burst of color because it’s such a fun summer touch.
