Piece of the Week: Seavees Bleeding Madras Shoe

With the summer fully underway and significant portions of the East Coast experiencing some serious heat, we can’t help but think about the weight of the pieces in our wardrobe. When it’s hot outside you often have to look into your closet and say, “What will keep be from looking like I just finished a marathon?” Often times this will not match up very well with what looks good, so for our Piece of the Week we found a great pair of shoes that ought to give your feet a breather. Seavees teamed up with the classy gents at Gitman Vintage to come out with a fun pair of bleeding madras plimsolls.

The light oxford cloth upper will keep your feet dry and the madras pattern will keep you at the front of the preppy pack. These are a great pick for a summer casual shoe and are ideal with shorts–just make sure not to wear these with any sort of dress trouser. As long as you keep it simple with these guys, they ought to fill a great hole in your collection and will surely come in handy on a scalding day.
