Prepidemic Promotes: Phineas Cole Fall ’10

Over the last few weeks regular readers should be catching on that we’re pretty excited about fall. Maybe it’s the blistering-hot weather or maybe it’s the countless fall lines that have been coming out recently, but we’re aching for temperature to drop and the leaves to start falling. Phineas Cole’s new offerings aren’t helping our autumn craving, either. Their newest collection may be the best we’ve seen yet, which is something we seem to be saying every time they come out with something new.

The core of their collection is the tailored clothing, which is characterized by a nice slim-fitting silhouette that comes in two different styles: Phillip and Michael. Their Phillip model has a gorgeous one-button peak lapel with side vents and hacking pockets, whereas the Michael has a more classic two-button notch lapel. We love both models and have always found them to fit like a second skin, but the Phillip is really at the heart of the Phineas Cole aesthetic.

Of course, we love their shirting–especially their new denim, black gingham, and tuxedo options. They continue to put out some of the best shirts on the market at a price that is about half of the similarly-styled Ralph Lauren Purple Label. With the continuing success of their shirting and suiting, they’ve expanded into footwear for fall. The wool slippers will be the envy of those more bold and their congac wingtips ought to be the perfect pairing for one of their suits.

Check out the Phineas Cole collection in Paul Stuart stores or online.
