Sartorialist’s Top Ten: #1 Luca Rubinacci

This photo just overwhelmed us the first time we saw it. There’s so much going on, yet nothing seems forced. This is the way of the famous Neapolitan tailor, as we would almost expect such expertise from one of Italy’s most respected houses. Individually, each piece he is wearing is gorgeous which makes it all the more impressive that he has wrangled them together with such unity. The only way he is able to do this is because he is confident with himself and his dress.

There is so much to talk about that we’ll point out only our favorite things. First of all, the sweater and scarf combo is killer as the deep burgundy is really saturation and draws your eyes in. These work great with the sport coat as their fabrics are just begging to be touched. Finally, a man is only as good as his shoes and these are some of the most beautiful suede desert boots we’ve seen. They really just jump off the photo. Of course, we could mention his awesome olive hat, fun socks, great pocket square, or totally unique bracelets, but we assume you had already picked up on all those nuggets. What we want you to be left with, which is why we chose this as #1, is that you should have fun when you get dressed in the morning. Look good, yes, but don’t be a stiff. Be yourself and be comfortable
